Although I will start to share about the books I read so avidly, this first post is to break the ice, splash the cold water over my shoulders, warm up on the treadmill or whatever other allusion I can come up with. basically it gives me a jumping off point for this foray into the world of putting my thoughts down in text (was going to say on paper lol) and perhaps share with other interested beings. Books are very important to me, vitally important even; I always have one on the go and at least the next one ready to start. Working in a bookstore and being intimately involved in the content of the shelves in every section - I stocktake and literally have hands on almost every book in store at some point, I see so many books and the constant cry of my heart is "so many books - so little time".
I buy more books than I should, my private, and sadly too true, joke is that they shouldn't pay me but just give me a gift card to spend in store, but I am also a loyal, though occasionally frustrated, library user. Libraries are one of the most important things we have and we should protect them. Free books - what more can we ask for?
Ok, time to stop this rambling and start considering which books to begin with... a glance at my bookshelves tells me I might just be spending a lot of time here. Maybe I'll meet some like-minded people along the way.
